Rear cover with b/w photo by Angus McBean of a scene from Act I from the original London production of the play with Vivien Leigh in the role of Blanche Dubois and Bonar Colleano as Stanley Kowalski. A Streetcar Named Desire premiered in London at the Aldwych theatre on October 12, 1949 under the direction of Lawrence Olivier.
