First edition. George Armstrong (1897-1976) was an Anglo-Canadian writer, dramatist and essayist. From 1925 to 1933 Armstrong contributed a weekly column to Punch under the name "A. A.”. His Punch pieces included a series of amusing articles featuring a young married couple, Frances and her husband. This book collects all the Frances stories.


Dust jacket by René Bull, an Irish born artist and photographer. He provided drawings for British periodicals and illustrated books.
