Marcel Proust’s (1871-1922) masterpiece À la Recherche du Temps Perdu (1913-1927), one of the greatest books of all the time, here in C. K. Scott Moncrieff’s (1889-1930) translation, the first and most famous in English, titled Remembrance of Things Past, borrowing from Shakespeare.
