A fine set in dust-jackets (minor fading to spines). First two volumes with jacket design by John Craxton (1922-2009), third volume with jacket design by Ed Kluz in the style of Craxton.

One of twentieth-century classics, this trilogy chronicles the author’s youthful adventures during his epic trans-European walk in the 1930s. Highlights include unforgettable descriptions of Germany, Vienna, and Transylvania before the Second World War and the fall of the Iron Curtain. A cross between Byron, Indiana Jones, and James Bond, Patrick Leigh Fermor (1915-2011) was a wartime SOE officer, and one of the finest and most fascinating writers in British letters.
